Only 5lbs after 2 weeks and most of it was the first week...I'm getting a little discouraged.

You have lost FIVE pounds in two weeks and your discouraged!! Five pounds is amazing. You have to adjust your thinking and keep realistic expectations. It takes a long time to get our bodies to lose fat and get in shape. If you lose too fast, you are losing (not just fat) but precious muscle too. The more muscle you have the more calories your burn (the reason why men lose faster than women). You have to be in this for the long haul and think about all the positive things you are doing for your body. Think of 1 pound of fat as 4 sticks of butter. That is how much comes off for 1 pound. That takes a lot of work. If you lose a pound or two a week, you will get to your goal. There will be weeks of doing everything right and seeing a gain, and weeks of overeating and losing. Keep eating right and exercising. Live your life and know you are getting healthy. It takes time, patience and persistence. You will get there. You are doing fine.

I completely agree. I also think that TV shows like 'The Biggest Loser' - though well intentioned - set unrealistic expectations for weight loss. I caught an episode last night where one of the contestants was absolutely devastated to have 'only' lost 4 lbs in a week!
1 - 2 lbs per week is realistic, acheivable and sustainable.
Good Luck to You!

Thanks you guys, I was discouraged because like you said Suzi, I lost 5 lbs the first week and the second week I saw nothing. I was tapping my scale thinking to myself "did this thing stop working" lol
